I wish to design a hoarding of 20 feet by 40 feet. which is the best tool to design a hoarding of that size? And how to setup the page for such a large size? The background picture i need to use for the entire background is of 17″ x 11″ @ 300 pixels/inch, a brochure I designed earlier. How to use it and resample that picture?

  1. If I understand the question…you are wanting to take a low resolution image and blow it up to a scale that is about 20 feet tall…

First thing you need to do is to redo that image to a much higher resolution (say 1600 pixels/inch) otherwise when you increase that 300 dpi image it will look distorted.

Then you need to find out what the largest printer you have access to is…how wide will it print…You can do an image in coreldraw of any size….but it will default to the size of your printer unless you do it as a banner. Obviously you need to have a print shop print it out on the correct paper and size to make a billboard so ask them what you need to set your program to…
