Can you color scanned artwork on Adobe Photoshop CS2 or any other photoshop operators?

I’ve seen the professionals do their work and stuff, and some of them have scanned artwork that look like…well, they were created on their computer. I seriously wanna know how to make my drawing look…I don’t know, colorful and realistic? Yep. And I’ve never had photoshop of some sort, and I have this project that’s due October 7th, and I want to color it sooo badly. Any tips and tricks that I could use? I’ve read from some websites that I have to outline the drawing with pen or marker. I did my drawing using a 0.5 mm mechanical lead pencil, but I don’t know what to do. Oh, and if you want to see the drawing I drew, here’s a link: http://xmissdevious.deviantart.com/art/quot-The-Sight-quot-First-Sketch-138693567 . I HOPE YOU CAN HELP MEE!!
P.S.: My teacher is actually letting me use the school’s photoshop which is Adobe Photoshop CS2.
oops, for the link, you have to copy and paste it to the URL. srry that it didn’t show up. ^^”

  1. I usually draw straight away on the main layer, or add another layer and sketch, painting is pretty simple, if you get yourself familiar with the toolbars, the brush on the side do all the work for me,I just sometimes install different brushes from deviantart or any other online source to add certain effects, there is a long way to go, but you can start by searching for tutorials in deviantart, that’s how I started, but not all of them are good to be honest! note me if you need more explanation. am not very good at it explaining ,but I will try 🙂
