With having so many interrupting pop-up messages with do’s and dont’s, with a chkbox “don’t show again” many of us may have developed a habit to just tick the box without reading what messages it have or how it will effect the system.
However there are many pop-ups keep coming, which we really don’t need but surely not all, as in Indesing there is a pop-up giving us a warning of the overset text in any text frame while making a pdf. The message ““you have overset text” also comes when we print the document or when we collect document fonts using Package. But if in case you have accidentally checkopt the box don’t show again then you may be probably missing a great support from the software.
As once I have also caught in the situation, the setting was turned off and I didn’t get any notification about overset text while making a pdf for print as on some pages the text was hidden in the frame. You just can’t imagine the embarrassment I felt. So my advice is to never ever tick on any chkbox before reading it properly what it does.
But now in case what to do if you have already have this warning disabled and want it back… Just open the Preferences dialog box (Command/Ctrl-K) and, in the General pane, click the button labeled “Reset All Warning Dialogs.” Now click OK and you’re done! as shown in the below image.
