The cloning tool is a destructive way to do things. 😉
Make sure that after you’ve selected the clone stamp tool the ‘Sample’ drop down menu at the top middle of the screen is set to ‘Current & Below’. I’ve updated this video with an annotation showing this amendment. Please watch tutorial again if you are unsure.

Yes, well spotted. I must have altered it from current layer only some time ago and forgot. Thanks.
Good tutorial, although you might want to mention that when you select the cloning stamp tool you should select ´current and below´ as you sample area, because the default setting is the current layer, otherwise it will not work
